December 7 and 14, 2007 - Eagles Host ‘Midnight Rugby’….. The Fairfax Eagles hosted the inaugural ‘Midnight Rugby’ on December 7, inviting numerous local clubs to come along and sample indoor rugby league. Based on the success of the inaugural event, the Eagles followed-up and held the second ‘Midnight Rugby’ on December 14. The following local rugby clubs were represented at the two sessions; Washington Irish RFC, Western Suburbs RFC, Northern Virginia RFC, George Mason RFC, West End RFC, Quantico RFC, and West Potomac RFC. The Fairfax Eagles were well represented, with a number of new recruits getting their first taste of rugby league. The Fairfax Eagles would like to thank everyone who turned-up and contributed to the success of the two sessions. Additional thanks goes to AMNRL referee Tony Masciocchi, who refereed the second session. The events were held at Dulles Sportsplex indoor arena in Sterling, Virginia. The Eagles will resume the ‘Midnight Rugby’ events in the new year.
