June 25, 2007 - Eagles Train with Local Union Club….. The Fairfax Eagles trained today with the West End Old Boys in Springfield, Virginia. The two teams will continue to train together throughout the summer with a view to entering competitive sides in local and national 7’s tournaments later in the year. Training will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings at ‘The Ditch’ in Springfield.
June 16, 2007 - Eagles Players Make AMNRL Debuts….. Congratulations to Eagles’ players John Young and Jimmy Van Huizen who today made their AMNRL debuts. Through negotiation with operational and coaching staff at other AMNRL clubs, the Eagles were able to secure roster spots for John and Jimmy to ensure that they received playing time in 2007. Both are new to rugby league, were desperate for a taste of the action, and held their own in their competitive debuts. The Eagles will continue to work around the league to secure further roster spots for both John and Jimmy, as well as the rest of the squad.
