May 19, 2007 - Fairfax Eagles Withdraw from AMNRL in 2007….. It is with regret that the Fairfax Eagles have been forced to withdraw from the AMNRL in 2007. Due primarily to financial, insurance, and sponsorship issues, the Board of Directors felt it best to withdraw the team from the competition this year. Thanks to all the fans who purchased season tickets, sponsors who generously contributed to our cause, and players who have been training hard since February. A period of rebuilding and reorganization will now take place so that the Fairfax Eagles can be ready to go in 2008. It is the club’s goal to build on the foundations put in place this year and field a competitive side next summer. Training will continue throughout the summer on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Herndon, Virginia.
